In its 6th year now, SAB@Breakfast, started by Helen Blocker-Adams, meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 am at the Holiday Inn on Gordon Highway.
In addition to networking, the mission of the group is to become a state of the art public policy grassroots organization to create responses to legislation and other issues that effect small business in South Augusta and present those responses to County and State Legislators.
Also it is to provide small business services and programs to meet the needs of the small business community and to create "watchdog" functions to monitor State, Local and Federal legislation or other issues that affect businesses.
Committees:
Economic Development
This committee will focus on economic development strategies for South Augusta; serve as South Augusta Ambassadors; identify potential new business development and make recommendations to local government officials; pay courtesy visits to manufacturing and other businesses in South Augusta; attend economic development related meetings; and serve as resource persons
Governmental Affairs
This committee will focus on local government issues; play an integral role as a citizens’ group in reforming our local government structure; local 2006 elections; attend County Commission meetings and develop and implement a strategy for Voter Education campaigns
Education
This committee will attend Richmond County Board of Education meetings; research programs and successful initiatives that link education and economic development/business growth; engage educators and board members in our monthly meetings and inform SAB@B of education issues.
Community Service/Volunteerism
This committee will encourage and make recommendations for volunteer opportunities; informing members of upcoming events by serving as a conduit
Quality of Life
This committee will advocate and support the areas of Recreation, Arts & Cultural Activities, Beautification and Entertainment Facilities and Activities for the South Augusta Community; Identify and organize programs/projects to beautify South Augusta; and organize the Annual Rocky Creek Springfest

Spirituality Committee
This committee will provide a spiritual prayer message at each meeting; will share faith-based/religious information on upcoming events of interest; and engage more Pastors to attend our meetings.
